I’m not sure I will be able to find the words to describe how beautiful this Hotel Zaza Wedding for Lindsey and Robert was!
Throughout the whole wedding, I was complimenting Lindsey on her taste whether I was talking about her jewelry, the bundt cakes, or the delicious food.
Lindsey and Robert’s wedding took place on a Saturday morning, so I drove into town and met Lindsey and her maid of honor at Hotel Zaza. For those of you who have never been to Hotel Zaza, it is one of the most talked about hotels in the Houston museum district. It has an incredible lobby, themed suites, and a lot of chandeliers! Lindsey’s “getting ready” room was definitely fit for a bride,so we enjoyed having plenty of space to take photos before heading to the ceremony site.
The ceremony and reception took place at Brennan’s of Houston. Despite the weather forecast, Lindsey and Robert had a perfectly sunny ceremony outside in the courtyard. The aisle was lined with rose petals,a guitarist set the mood, and many tears were shed as Lindsey entered the courtyard arm-in-arm with her father. Robert had the biggest smile on his face when he saw Lindsey- it was absolutely adorable! (Go ahead, you know you want to scroll down and sneak a peek at it!) To make the ceremony even more special, Lindsey and Robert both wrote their own vows to share with each other. After the ceremony, guestsheaded upstairs to a beautiful banquet room that was filled with live jazz music. My favorite part of the reception? I’m torn between Lindsey and Robert’s first dance, the AMAZING food (I’m serious-it was one of the best meals I had ever had!), orthe bananas foster display.
Now here are some fun facts about the happy couple!
Q: Tell us about your very first date
A. I met him at a show in midtown but I don’t even remember who the band was because all I could focus on was the crazy butterflies in my stomach. It was the most nervous I had ever been on a date but we had a lot of fun and I remember he put his arm around me and it felt so right to me. It was like I was finally in the right place, at the right time, with the right person.
Q. Tell me about your 3 favorite things to do together:
A. Go to the movies, travel, Sunday morning breakfast.
Q. What was your first impression of your fiancé?
A. He made me laugh! He told me the funniest jokes and it wasn’t like oh I’m just laughing just because you’re cute, he is actually hilarious. It was obvious that he was incredibly nervous to talk to me and he waited until I was walking back to the car to muster up the strength to ask me for my number but he really won me over so I was so happy that he did ask.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Tafolla! Thank you for letting me be a part of your big day!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special!
