Sydney and Chris’ wedding was an absolute dream! I can honestly say this was the most personalized wedding I have ever been to. Everything about the wedding- from the vintage furniture to the vows- was a perfect reflection of Sydney and Chris’ personalities. Throughout the whole wedding, I kept telling Sydney how incredibleeverything was!
The wedding took place at Sydney’s parents’ property in San Antonio. Their yard was filled with vintage furniture, the trees all had hanging candles, and a dance floor was set up right outside of their porch. Needless to say, I was already impressedthe second I pulled up! When I went upstairs to greet Sydney and her bridesmaids, I saw the most darling bridesmaids dresses hanging up. I found out that Sydney had sewnthe bridesmaids dresses and created her dress from a vintage wedding dress she had found. (I am still so amazed at her handiwork!)
One of my favorite moments of the wedding was Sydney and Chris’ first look. The pictures are so precious, you would think they were posed! And, I must say, Sydney and Chris are ROCKSTARS behind the camera! Sydney even set aside time on her wedding timeline for sunset pictures which I was thrilled about! (Go ahead, sneak a peek at those gorgeous images!)
The rest of the night was filled with a jazz band,a picnic dinner, an adorable firstdance, and a confetti exit. It was an absolute joy working with Sydney and Chris, and I wish them the best as they begin their journey as husband and wife. I know their laughter will never end, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!
Time for some fun facts about the happy couple:
Q. Tell me about your very first date!
A. There is some discussion about what our official first date was. The first time we spent a large amount of time together was after one of my shifts at Starbucks. He waited several times for me after work so he could talk to me with no luck. Finally he caught me and we talked for five hours. Our first actual date was at a vineyard. He took me to this beautiful place and we walked around in the vines while waiting for our reservation. It was the most romantic date I had ever been on at that time. I knew then that He was something special.
Q. How did he/she propose?
A. Chris planned a surprise trip to Disney world and we stayed at the animal kingdom lodge. I had told him many times that I was really wanting to go to Africa so this was his way of giving me a little taste of that. When we got to the hotel room after our first night at the parks, there was a tote bag waiting for me. It was embroidered with “Sydney Wagner” I was confused and Chris played it off like they had made a mistake. He told me to open it and inside was a bride and a groom mickey and minnie doll. He got down on one knee and said “Sydney Clyde, I love you so very much and I can’t imagine spending another day without you, will you marry me?” I screamed “YES” and then I kept saying yes over and over again. There was champagne and mickey glasses in the bag as well and we toasted. He told me the whole story of planning the trip and how he asked my dad and I couldn’t control the tears. The next morning we called all our family and friends and they shared in our excitement.
Thank you to everyone who made this day so special!
