To find an unused tissue before, during, or after this Double Creek Crossing Wedding would have been an amazing feat! This day was emotional through out to say the least. Teresa and Jake’s wedding was truly one of a kind, from 56 year old wedding rings to blind folded grooms it was breathtaking. I can’t even express how honored I feel to have been included in this amazing day!
Teresa and Jake met their freshman year at Texas A&M. Teresa’s roommate her freshman year was good friends with one of Jake’s friends from high school. They met one night at Freebirds (delicious burritos!) when Teresa went with her roommate and Jake went with his friends…coincidence I think not! Their first impressions went something like this –
Jake-My first impression of Teresa was one of infatuation.
Teresa-My first impression of Jake was he was so handsome and I was excited to have the chance to get to know him.
A favorite memory from when they first started dating!
Teresa-My favorite memory from early on in our relationship was when we were walking to the library together and it was really cold and I reached over and grabbed his hand tight. He was all mine at that moment, whether he knew it or not.
Jake-One of my favorite memories from early on was when we sat on Walton Hill, under the stars, talking for hours without any real conversation topic and it was just so easy to talk to her.
The most romantic thing Jake ever did for Teresa…
The ring Jake proposed to me with is actually his grandmother’s engagement ring from 56 years ago! About a year before we even got engaged, he got the ring re-sized and prepped for me (his grandmother was a 4.5 and I’m a 6!). It means so much to me because he put so much thought into that engagement ring decision AND his grandmother is my only grandmother figure, as both of my grandmothers passed away before I was able to build a relationship with them. The ring is SO special to me and delicate and means so much more than just a piece of metal. I cried when he proposed to me with it!
The Most important thing to Teresa and Jake on their wedding day…
We’re really looking forward to relaxing after the ceremony and once the reception has started. The most important part to me is just spending the day with so many friends and family members. Without them, we wouldn’t be where we are right now. We are so very blessed by the amount of love and support over the past 4.5 years and couldn’t be happier with the plans or our special day. I am mostly excited about the photography too (no pressure Jen!) because she did such a wonderful job with our engagement pics!
Teresa and Jake’s Favorite Books –the Bible, anything fitness related
Teresa and Jake’s Favorite Candy–skittles, troli sour gummy worms, chewy sweet tarts
Their Favorite Movies –The Avengers, Taken, The Lion King, Bad Boys 2, Gone in 60 Seconds, Fast and Furious (all 6 of them and the 7th I am sure when it comes out)
“We can do all things through Christ who gives us strength” Philippians 4:13.
