Natalie and Reese’s wedding was such a blast and really unique! The wedding began with a ceremony at Christ United Methodist Church. This church has beautiful stained glass windows and high ceilings which give it an elegant touch. One of my favorite things about the hour before the wedding ceremony is getting to be a part of the bride getting ready. I love being able to capture all of the emotions that go on in the bride’s dressing room before her wedding: mom buttoning her dress, maid of honor putting on her veil, shared tears, funny stories, jitters, and more. Natalie’s bridesmaids were such genuine girls and so helpful anytime I had a question! It was a joy watching them interact and be such a wonderful friends to Natalie.
Before Natalie walked down the aisle, she surprised Reese with a video. Reese just spent a year deployed, serving in the military. While they were apart they sent each other videos, and to tell their story Natalie compiled some of these videos and played them while Reese was waiting for her on the altar. There was not a dry eye in the church. Not during the video, and especially not while they exchanged their personal vows with each other.
Natalie and Reese’s reception was at Moore Ranch which has both indoor and outdoor areas. The reception was set up inside but a bar was set up outside where the sun could not have been shining any more beautifully that day. There was a band playing inside which created such a unique environment. Now, I just have to share about the toasts that were made. Reese’s best man shared about all of the phases they have been through together: brewing their own beer, building things, etc. And then he made the point that Natalie was never a phase, that his love for her is eternal. Natalie’s matron of honor (her older sister who got married earlier this year) also shared the sweetest things about Natalie: how even though Natalie is the younger sister, she always secretly looked up to her. Though they have a four year gap between them, that doesn’t stop them from being best friends! I can totally relate because I have a younger sister whom I love and look up to as well, and coincidentally, I was just her matron of honor a few months ago as well! Lastly, Natalie’s dad shared a few words about her too, and what stood out to me the most were the times they shared together when she was playing soccer for Sam Houston and how they would bond on their way to games and tournaments. The reception was a ton of fun and don’t even get me started on how good the food was which was catered from Napa Flats!
This is such a sweet family that I got to work with and I’m so honored to have been a part of it! Wishing this lovely couple the best!
Thanks to all the wonderful vendors that helped pull this night off!
