After nervously eyeing the weather forecast all day, it was such a relief pulling up to First United Methodist Church and realizing there had not been a single rain drop on the way there! Located in Downtown Bryan, the Church had beautiful archways and columns coupled with stained glass windows and wooden doors. But the Church has even more significance than just a pretty backdrop for pictures- Lauren and John met at the Church when they were both working as Youth Interns! And now, can you believe it, Lauren and John are married.
Their reception took place at the Archery Room in the Texas A&M Recreational Center. The banquet hall was decked out with floral centerpieces on each table, purple up lighting, and fun Mad Libs for each guest to fill out with wedding advice for the newlyweds. After eating delicious barbecue and drinking out of custom koozies that read “Lauren + John Wayne,” guests danced the night away to an assortment of 90’s music and country. The dance floor was filled with the liveliest bunch I have seen in quite a while. I was tempted to join everyone on the dance floor with my camera!
Lauren and John are one of the sweetest couples I have worked with! They have the biggest hearts and the most welcoming friends and family. Did I mention they had around 400 guests?! From bright purple flowers to Batman socks to a glow stick getaway, Lauren and John’s wedding was one to remember. I was absolutely touched to be a small part in this couples beginning to married life!
Thanks to all the amazing people that made this day and night so wonderful!
