I’m pretty sure I missed out on not hiring this guy for my wedding because we think just alike… chicken dance? No thanks!
I want you to meet Cesar! He works for Unique Styled Productions. Read this interview with him to learn about why he loves being a DJ, and some advice about choosing your DJ for your wedding.
How did you get started as a DJ?
I became a DJ after I finished Audio Engineering School in 2009. I connected from being a drummer to the digital movement.
How did your passion for this job arise?
Started since I was a child with a passion for music, and having an extroverted personality, I love connecting with people.
Where do you get your inspiration?
I saw DJ AM and Travis Parker in a duet and loved their concept.
What is your favorite part about being a DJ?
The people. I get to be in their best moments regardless of what they are going through. I get their best!
What is your favorite style to play?
Open format, which is very spontaneous with old school, and jams making them sound new.
What would you pick as your theme song?
Danger zone theme form Top Gun.
What is your best tip for brides and grooms when looking for a DJ?
Stop looking at Google and what other weddings have done. Be original with every detail of your event!
What sets you apart from other DJs?
I care for and love what I do and I always think of the wedding as if they were my own.
What is your best memory DJing at a wedding?
One time I got hired a day before the wedding…An 18 wheeler hit a transformer knocking all the power out of the venue so the band packed and left. I stayed and pulled my jeep up to the venue running a long extension cord and played out one speaker with my iPod and one LED for the dancing. The wedding was so much fun and we all partied.
Anything else you would like to add?
Don’t play the chicken dance!
