As you already know from previous blog posts, proposal shoots are my absolute FAVE! I can’t tell you how giddy and excited I get for the future Bride-to-Be. I love being “in” on the surprise and part of the planning process.
This proposal came on a freezing cold day. It turned cloudy out and started to sprinkle as I drove up the long drive to the Administration building on the campus of Texas A&M. However, there was love in the air.
Not only was Alex graduating from college but she also had absolutely no idea her boyfriend, Ross, was secretly flying in for her special day.
Ross called me about a week before on referral from Alex’s best friend, Ashley! Ashley had advised Ross that he, “Just had to have this photographed!” Luckily I had met Ashley at another friend’s engagement party earlier that week. Love and proposals have just been all around lately! ☺
I’d like to say I played my part well! Alex’s mom had told her they hired a photographer to take graduation photos so it didn’t seem too strange to have some lady randomly come up and start taking pictures of her. When Ross started coming down the stairs behind her it took everything in me to not squeal with excitement!
Alex turned around to be totally surprised that her boyfriend was standing in front of her and was not nestled down at home up North!
He popped the question and she said, “Yes!” Just in time for us to head out of the cold and into the warmth of our homes.
It was a pleasure and an honor to be a part of something so special! Congrats to you both and best of luck!
