What a weekend! Not only was it Valentines Day but it was, Make the Rounds in Dallas Day too! What originally started out as a trip up to D-Town for my cousins’ senior photos quickly became the chance to see friends and family as well!
I really can’t mean it enough when I say, “we can’t get enough of these people!”
Swinging into town just in time for rush hour we made our first stop at one of Justin’s younger brothers house. You may know them from the blog post recently done on their anniversary, such a sweet and fun family. Justin chased Larkin all around the house and then proceeded to let Larking chase him while stopping for a tickle attack now and then. After we left, Liz texted to tell me Larking wouldn’t stop saying, “Uncle Justin crazy!” Being the only son of 4 that does not live in the Metroplex it’s not hard to feel distanced at time so to be able to have (although quick) a visit on a Friday evening was cherished. Our newest member of the Brazeal family, Lila is growing fast and at just 7 months that girl is active. She is all over the place and so alert!
We then headed over to Jeff and Michelle’s house. Jeff was Justin’s Best Man in our wedding and has been a best friend since the two were boys! They had their first baby 2 years ago and soon after had their second and third. Twins! The new norm at the Andersen house is constant motion! I got the pleasure of not only feeding but bathing and changing the twins! I now know why there is a reason pregnancy is a 9-month project. You need mental prep time for sure! J We had a great time ordering in on V-Day and just sitting around talking (after the boys were in bed of course!) We look forward to many more years of those times.
Our trip was slowly migrating North. We pulled up in Plano at my cousin’s house after brunch with Justin’s parents. I feel like the Key’s are a weird extension of my immediate family. Tiffany an older sister that I can talk to about anything and always seems to get the truth out of me on what’s going on in life. Tim is almost an older brother that was already in High School when I was born, he grew up spending a lot of time with my parents so he knows them really well. And the kids are like my younger siblings. I started “babysitting” when I was in college. Coming to stay for a week here and there and getting to know them so well, it feels like ages ago that we were driving around Plano getting into all types of mischief!
The Key’s moved into a beautiful new home. I couldn’t help but take notes on Tiffany’s incredible decorating skills! Love it!
All of us for a family meal at a restaurant that is serving Tiffany’s desserts on their menu! As you can tell we hated the delicious cookies and cakes. (Yea right, if we had been timed it would have been shameful how quickly we devoured them!) It was also a rare moment to have everyone together so of course, I had to get a photo!
