If you have not checked out Moffitt Oaks Wedding Venue…YOU NEED TO! This place is dynamite and will soon have a waiting list of years I predict! Not only are they the most thoughtful and hospitable to their brides, but they also provides loads, and I mean loads, of detailed pieces for their clients to use, from candelabras, to chargers and more. So much is included already with their booking- it made me wish they had been around when I got married.
They have several sights to choose from for your wedding ceremony and reception. From a rustic barn to California Villa style reception hall they have a lot of options. They even have multiple bridal sweets to get ready in with amazing set ups for your brides maids to have plenty of room to get ready at. In the main house they have guest rooms that you can rent out for the night before or even night of the wedding that makes for an easy nights sleep! Make sure you give them consideration when planning your big day! ????
I loved meeting with Melissa, one of their onsite coordinators and getting the full tour. Moffitt Oaks is nestled down in the greater Houston area, but you would never have guessed it based on the site. It feels and appears as if you’re out in the rustic and elegant Texas country land. They have multiple sites for ceremonies and receptions. The first one we stopped byhad a California Palm type of feel with a grand area for the Bride to get ready in. The reception site was across from a large field that is perfect for a wide open ceremony, and don’t worry, chairs are included for this site as well as all sites. Next, we headed over to the rustic and elegant (I know 2 words that don’t usually go together) barn site. This was once the real barn for the estate and has kept many of the features of a barn but with a chandelier or two added, and of course, AC! There is a ceremony site to the side of the barn with a unique wooden alter. I could see this being perfect for an early spring wedding just as the grass is turning green and the huge barn doors can be opened wide for guests to graze inside and out.
Lastly, we headed back to the main house where there is a waterfront ceremony site that can use the large house as the receptionsite or have guests walk down the path to one of the other sites. The Bride’s room in the house is stunning and has a great set up for all the bridesmaids to use their own space with mirrors, lights, and plugs. I love this, such a nice touch for the wedding day! I just can’t get over how well thought out this venue has taken everything. I can’t wait to shoot a wedding here and see it in action! Here are some of the items available for use at no extra charge, they have many more available than pictured here. Candelabras (with LED candles not shown), gold and silver chargers, burlap table runners, lanterns and so much more. Guest Rooms for the wedding party to stay on location the weekend of your big day. Located in the big house.
