I didn’t officially meet Nicole until I photographed her bridal portraits at Miramont Country Club a couple months ago. Nicole currently lives in Austin, so we had only been communicating over email. Ihad such a great time getting to know Nicole during her photoshoot. She wasup for anything, wentalong with my “very bridal-esque” poses, and had enough energy to smile the entire time we were shooting- despite the heat outside! Ever since that day, I was counting down for Nicole and Tyler’s Miramont Wedding!
And wow- their wedding was incredible! The ceremonytook place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (where Nicole and Tyler met), and the reception was at Miramont. Guests were on the dance floor all night, and Nicole and Tyler were two-stepping stars! (As a special treat, I included some Aggie War Hymn photos at the end of this post. WHOOP!) This wedding was full of energy, as you can see in the photos of everyone on the dance floor, and full of love. Congrats to the happy newlyweds!!

Q. When and how did you meet?
A. We truthfully have conflicting stories of the moment we met. Tyler claims we met at church one day in the Fall of 2009, our freshman year of college, at St. Mary’s. I really thought we met through mutual friends later on freshman year over dinner. However, we were both biology major at Texas A&M and grew close as classmates, and eventually, as lab partners in a Microbiology class. The summer before our senior year, he asked me out and the rest is history!
Q. How did he/she propose?
A. Tyler proposed on campus, and it was elaborate! He told me we were going to a College of Science Alumni Dinner on campus and to dress up. We took the “long way” to the building we were supposed to have dinner, and we ended up at the Sul Ross Statue where he paused and asked if I knew where we were. He explained that this was the halfway point between the building where we first got to know each other (the Micro building) to the church across the street where we would get married and this statue was the halfway point. He got down on one knee and proposed, I interrupted and said “yes” before he could finish his question, and we’re pretty sure I took the ring and put it on my finger. I clearly was not thinking this through. A photographer jumped out of nowhere and started taking pictures and we met up with both of our families for a surprise dinner (for me, at least!). It was the best day of my life!
Q. Tell me about the moment when you knew he/she was “the one”
A. I think we both knew before we even started dating, but neither of us wanted to entertain the situation. After a few dates, I noticed I had never felt more comfortable or myself around anyone and I knew he was the one.
Thank you to everyone who made this day so special!
