What on Earth is going on with our Texas weather? Really! Just a day ago schools were being cancelled due to ice and now we’re sitting out side at Tiny Boxwood enjoying lemonade and cookies! I hear in another few days we’ll be back down to the 30s! Yikes!
Well yesterday we had a lovely girls day in Houston. Filled with Brunch at the popular and delicious Tiny Boxwood near the Galleria and then shopping for baby décor at the unbelievable baby store called,Doodles in our favorite, Rice Village, area of Houston. Of course, we checked out all of the boutiques and wound up stopping off at the Cypress Outlet Mall where we spent just a tad too much time but made some insane finds! (My husband was actually impressed with my bargain shopping skills!)
I also managed to squeeze in a super fun engagement shoot at a great little plant nursery we love off Alabama Street. Those pictures will be coming later this week!
However, after the shoot, my sister and dear friend (Ashley, is expecting a little girl in the summer) decided the lighting and scenery was just too perfect to pass up and we had our own little mini-shoot in the garden. I can only imagine what those shopping for their yards and homes though about us. We didn’t get too carried away…Okay maybe we did. But my sister had a ball learning about back button focus and framing with my camera. She actually wouldn’t give me my camera back, which resulted in far too many cheesy photos of Ashley and me!
We love us some free refills!
My sister, Josie (owner and creator of Josie Posy Floral Design) pointed out to us that the name of the restaurant was likely due to the tiny Boxwood plants they had arranged on tables and in the yard! Brilliant!
