Way to go Kelsey, Senior Class of 2014!
I just love the way Kelsey and I got connected. I was the senior photographer for a young lady a few years back.
Turns out her mom is friends with Kelsey’s mom. I know Kelsey’s mom from teaching years ago and was just delighted that they wanted me to take Kelsey’s senior portraits. They came all the way up to College Station for this shoot.
It happened to be on one of the stormiest days I’ve ever seen in College Station, TX. The thunder was incredible! However, since Kelsey was in from San Antonio nothing was going to stop us. Our first location was starting to get drizzly so we hopped in the car and raced ahead of the storm. My husband, Justin, informed us that it was dry near our house so, we headed that way! We made it in time to get a few fun shots before the storm hit. But did we stop there? NO, we had more outfits and ideas. We found refuge in a pavilion not far and pressed on! Mom healed the umbrella for me to get the right shot (rain or shine) while dad was wise enough to stay in the car! hehe! Turns out most of the pictures you can’t even tell we were in the middle of a monsoon! Except of course when I asked Kelsey, “hey, want to go play in the rain and I’ll get some shots?” Her response, “sure” and mom asked, “Really????” That’s one reason I love being a senior photographer, seniors are fearless!
Have a great remainder of your senior year and soak up every moment.
