I think this was the first day this whole summer we broke triple digits reaching 100. Now ask if that affected anybody at this outdoor wedding? The answer is, no, not at all. Jackie and Andy were more than willing to get photos outside in the beautiful scenery of 7F Lodge & Spaand I didn’t once hear a heat complaint. “It’s just part of living in Texas,” I overheard a guest commenting. I should have know these two would be upbeat and excited when we had engagement photos scheduled during Texas’ tropical storm!
I could not be more happy that Jackie and Andy chose to have a first look today. They shared such a special moment seeing each other before the ceremony, they got a chance to talk and calm their nerves. They even asked me if they were supposed to kiss? “Of course, you’re getting married, kiss on” was the response I gave to this adorable bride and groom. Their photos were so natural and flowed beautifully.
Their wedding party consisted of sisters and best friends. The only missing link was their dog, Mr. CJ, who was held up at the doggie hotel for the weekend and week after. Andy said not to worry, he is well taken care of and is staying with Jackie’s parents dogs. Plus, he comes back super soft and extra fluffy so he must be in good hands ???? Jackie helped set the mood and surprised Andy with a bagpipe player for the ceremony. In return Andy serenaded Jackie with a one of a kind original song on the guitar written by Andy’s late father. There was not a dry eye in the house. Both of these families were so much fun to be around and would make everyone, even the photographer, feel right at home and included in all they did. I felt so appreciated, and in return, I hope these photos will stay with the family and bring them joy for years and years to come! I throughly enjoyed being a part of this lovely day!
